Our main aims are to promote the needs and aspirations of children and young people with special needs. The organisation provides specialist equipment; arranges travel support, specialist services and activities for young people with severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour and their families.
Local Aid is COOL. Young people make choices and engage in meaningful activities that also develop life and social skills.

We offer ...
- Buddies – Our award-winning Saturday Club supporting young people aged 8 to 18 who have severe learning difficulties and challenging behaviour by providing friendship, life and social skills and increasing opportunities for play and leisure activities.
- Schools Challenge – A week long event held in Gnoll Park, Neath engaging 1500 children from over 50 schools across Swansea & Neath Port Talbot
- Supported volunteering scheme – Providing work experience and training opportunities for young people and adults with special needs within our charity shops.
- Riding Therapy – Weekly horse riding sessions supporting young people with physical and sensory disabilities.
